Default Recover Edges when clipped slightly

I don't know how many people know about this because I had never heard of it until yesterday. If any of you knew, shame on you for not sharing ;)

Ever just barely clip something on the edge of the frame? Guess what, you can get it back. There is a program called DNG recover edges that will unmask the small margin of pixels that our digital cameras mask away for various reasons better explained here: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/co...er-Edges.shtml

It is not a LOT of room, but could make a big difference for some photos.

Here is my favorite image of Bella (she got adopted btw)
because of her pleading look. I kick myself because I clipped her ear:

And here is the result of using DNG recover edges:

Not a huge amount of space, but it is enough to make adding canvas and getting the shape of the ear right a lot easier.

Thanks. I've actually posted her before, but thought the ear would be a good example of what the program can and can't do.

Thanks for the info, as you say it can make a big difference on an image.
    Thanks,
