I am always happy to find this guy. He gave me a very nice show on Sunday with not another long lens in sight. I am not thrilled with the composition in this shot as I placed him poorly in the frame, but I like the pose. I painted over some of the beach as it was cluttered with chairs , coolers etc.

Hi Robert, love the symmetrical wing position, and a great HA too. You have exposed the whites nicely, and the two tone BG works well. Centrally placed is fine, but I would add space to either side.

Very nicely exposed Robert. Your whites are great, must have been using Persil.
You cleaned up the background nicely and it works well.
I assume you've cropped this from a horizontal shot. If so I'd be tempted to bring back the space at the sides, so that the bird doesn't look so hemmed in.

Awesome symmetrical pose, and I like the displaced feather on the wing to our left. Good exposure. The bit of moving wter at the base of the leg is neat. I agree adding some canvas would work well.

Totally in love with this... agree, a bit more space L/R may be good. Great focal on the eye! Whites are lovely.
