    I reprocessed this shot.
I really like it as the light was kind of soft, very little shadow on the bird, only the legs and part of the back.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl,

I know the eye is supposed to be the focal point of most images (and it's perfect here), but I can't stop staring at the detail, color, and light of the near wing. Nailed it!

Just gorgeous light and wonderful pose! I love how the contrast has brought out the complementary colors of the blue / purple reflecting from the sky.

Love the light, wing position, and color. I would back off on the sharpening a bit.

    Gorgeous shot, Karl.
I might reduce the blue on the back and tail and crop the BG line at the bottom of the frame.
    Nice work.

Fabulous colours and textures. Agree on knocking back the sharpening a bit. A slightly looser crop may be an option to consider.

Karl, the colours throughout are beautiful. That light is really special.
Maybe add a bit more space all round, especially in front.

I would definitely take back the sharpening a bit, but this is absolutely gorgeous, Karl. Stunning detail, and I love how well all the warm colors work together. Perfect wing downstroke position. And I really like being able to see some of the underside of the right wing. Gorgeous light. This is a treat to look at.

Hi Karl, excellent flight pose showing the full downstroke of the wings. Love the overall colours, agree on toning down the sharpening a touch, and I would also reduce the contrast a bit too. Still, a great image and well nailed in flight.

That sure is beautiful light. My eye also is drawn to the wing, even more so than the eye. Nice colors on the bird and b/g.
