Up and running again. My IMac crashed so had to have it sorted out.
I posted a similar one earlier on. This is a shot of the pair still complaining about the owls that evicted them from their tree.

Good job getting them both in focus. With for some eye contact. The calling adds a lot.

Hi Carl - I really like this one, even better than the previous in the series. I think the fact that both birds are in focus, how you controlled the blacks and the open beaks are just awesome. You portrayed the mood very well, I can just feel/see how irritated they are!
Important to note is that the female is making the most noise here! (Hihi, hiding now from retribution from the ladies; too late, my wife already slapped me on the back of my head!)

    Ha ha Hennie!

I like the comp, exposure, perch. I agree we can feel and see the frustration on these guys, but man if the HA's would have been better this would have been killer! I see some processing artefacts at the tip of the branch, and I would not run any NR on the subjects or the perch (or at least be much less aggressive with it) as it gives them a smoothed-out look.

nice that you got tow of them sharp, too bad they are both angled away from us. details in the blacks are a bit lacking as a result of NR. Ditto the processing artifacts mentioned by Dan.

Thanks guys for the comments and pointers. I have an image with them both looking at me. I might post that sometime for comments.
