    Chris;

I fixed the title for you.

An unique photo, and one that you have to study for a bit. Glad you provided the back story.

Because the subject is so obscured in this frame, for me this image would work great with one or two more to 'tell' the story a bit more fully. I know we don't have the mechanism to do it easily on BPN, but for posting it elsewhere, or printing, I think that would work best!

For a stand alone image, I think you would need just a bit more of the bird showing clearly.

I like your creative thinking however!

    Cheers

    This is very unusual.
Kind of spooky in a way and all the colors give it that horror movie feel!
I like it. I would take a bit off the bottom.

Hi Christopher - Unusual image, but that is what made me look twice. I also like the the idea, but without the story I would still be left confused, thus I agree with Randy's comment. I do like the colors and IQ, IMO I would brighten the image just a bit.

Interesting and very unusual image. Great timing. I would take some off of the bottom to make it less centered.

Unique and unusual image. Extremely camouflaged with sou-rounding environment.
I like the way water is still flowing on the back, however it has obscured the details on the bird, which I am seeing for the first time.
Agree about crop at the bottom.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Great shot! Dippers pop out of the water so fast and the water rolls off them that this is a moment you never see.

Unusual image but I guess since you share the story behind it then it makes sense. Good composition and light.

I think this is a really neat image that show what it takes for them to get their food. It's an image that needs explaining, but that doesn't take away from what a unique frame you captured. And I would definitely trim off some of the out of focus area at the bottom. Neat photo.

This is a unique image of difficult to capture behavior, and you've done it very well. While your comp is one option, I would like to share my choice for composition. This is a powerful image!
