    Default Juvenile Yellow legged gull

As some of you may be aware I am contemplating the jump to FF soon and luckily a friend allowed me to briefly test her Nikon D600 with my lens and TC combo

These juvenile gulls were doing fly-bys over a nearby cliff so decided to take a few shots

I tried a few different settings but tried to see how good the sensor was for shadow recovery. With my D7000 i would have had awful grain under the wings from raising the shadow but here it kept very clean

AF was more consistent that my D7000 too but I could not put it through its paces against cluttered background

    Comments and critiques welcome

I am not familiar with Nikon gear but the quality looks great to me. The image itself is pleasing with nice sharpness, detail, and good separation of wing and bill.

Nice gull, sharpness and pose. Under wing details looks good too.
