Hi Richard, your comp works well with the pose, and we have a great view of the droplets over the head and neck. Well timed to capture the drooling water as the flamingo lifted his head out the water. You had enough ss, so am wondering why you didnt stop down to create more DOF.

    Where did you capture this?

Hi Richard - I like the image. The comp works for me, good IQ and the droplets makes it a good capture.

Just lovely, great eye, great water.

the only thing I don't like is the 2-3 OOF water droplets down at the curve of the neck, just off the neck with water BG. The rest are so nice and sharp that these few take away from the crispness of all the others.

A visually pleasing interest with the dripping water, saturated blue color and interesting "s" shapes. The only thing I wish is that you had moved a bit to your right to eliminate the shadow of the neck on the shoulder. That way that curve would not have been interrupted.

Nice vertical composition. Bird is stunning against the blue BG. Great details in your white feathers and love the water droplets. Grace made a good point on moving to avoid the shadow. I try to get the shot first, then if there is time and the bird doesn't move, I consider what moving left, right, up or down will give me, if it's possible to move in those directions.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Really appreciate the time taken!
Stuart, not stopping down was an oversight on my front rather than logical thought :). I should have done so. Thanks for your commnent.
