Every once in a while he landed where you could catch some clean background, like this.
I had to clone out one very distant OOF branch behind the bird.
I removed the magenta cast from the branch but left it in the bird as it would have left gray patches behind.
    Thanks for looking.

Top notch detail, IQ, BG and walking pose in the stick. Awesome. Love the fact that the stick in parallel to the sensor. I wish it was less tight in the frame to see "where it is walking". Nice work, Karl.

Hi Karl, its going to be quite hard for you to outdo this image - absolutely nailed. The walking pose down the angled perch with the raised foot takes this up a few notches, and good DOF in the overall image too. I'll give you a 10/10.

The tightrope walker! Amazing how he can grip the branch. I'd also vote for more room if you have it.

It should be possible to remove the magenta cast and let the natural colors come through. Best done in initial RAW processing with the Tint slider, if you use ACR / LR.

Thanks you Chris, thank you all. Thanks you for the kind words, all of you.
Here is the corrected version. The artifact from the left top corner is gone.

Very nice pose, the raised foot and the red eyeball makes this one for me. Great repost by the way.
