    Taken but not in the best light,cannon 500mm IS L F4,7D,EXT 700 FL,ISO1250,F5.6,1/400S,CROPPED SHARPENED and some use of levels in PS.Thanks for looking.

    Nice head turn end good exposure control. Lower angle would have ben better but looks very nice as is.

    Hi Chris I like the bubbling river and the low POV. Looking at the plumage it does look as if you have 'lifted' it, as there are signs of noise? Have you tried around Buxton, although it did get a little 'hammered' plus you have to contend with walkers & dogs?

    Hi Chris, well placed in the frame, and a bird I havent seen before. Whites look good, but have to agree with Steve, there is a hint of noise showing up on the wing. I really like the 'bubbling' effect of the water.

    Thanks for looking and comments,there is s touch of noise,but some of the specks are water spray,Steve,thanks but I don't need to go to Buxton,there is a couple of pairs on this river I go on,which is local.also Kingfishers,which I have been watching early this morning.it is just getting some decent light to get some nice images.thanks again.

    This is a pretty sweet image. You really get an idea of the elements/environment these dippers deal with. The color palate is also quite pleasing. You got nice and low, and your low perspective really helped to bring this image to life.

    Lovely photo of one of my fav birds. Must get up to the Dove myself soon.
