WOW! what a stunning image Arash.
Never seen anything like it.
I don't want to critique it, I just want to enjoy it.
Too bad you are a moderator because this image could be the IOTY.
Absolutely wonderful. This one deserves to be printed up and put on many walls, not just your own!
I love the perfect symmetry and the OOF strands of grasses that are perfect in number and height. The Princess Diana gaze ( you know the look she always gave photogs- chin down, eyes up) is very engaging. The puff of snow in front of the chest gives the image some sense of movement.
I am just blown away by the one. Congrats.
Gail
Well done Arash. The GGOs drive their prey into the snow when they strike, and end up half-buried themselves. Great eye contact, and I love the flying snow in front of the bird.
Upcoming Workshops: Bosque del Apache 2019, Ecuador 2020 (details coming soon)

Amazing image, Arash.
Arash:
THe pose is great, flying chunks of snow, excellent. Beautifully captured.
Cheers
Randy
I like the wing position, details, IQ and action. Great image Arash!
Lovely composition , great IQ and fantastic action captured
i love it for the action all around with the bird and the snow, superb
Awesome action shot. Thanks for sharing this. Very inspiring.
Excellent pose and sharpness, IQ is spot on. There are a couple of out of focus ?sticks in the background that are distracting to my eye which I would clone out.
Awesome shot with fantastic wing pose. Perfect exposure. I like the little bit of snow that's in the air in front of the owl.

Spectacular wings, pose, and gaze. I believe that this was baited? (I am fine with that--assuming yes you do need to let folks know.)

just great, Arash.
Superb moment captured, IQ is always good, be pose and the intense stare makes this one special.

Ahh...sweet memories of winter! Not looking forward to the cold, but if the upcoming one is even a quarter as good as this past one then I'll tolerate it better :-) Awesome view of the large wings, and perfect exposure with the snowy surroundings.
Artie, I'll answer for Arash that yes, baited...

Yes Artie, we used bait for all the great grey images from Ottawa area. I indicated this a while back when I was posting the majority of the photos back in winter....
thanks everyone.

hi arash,Awesome action shot.
Excellent pose and sharpnes.Perfect exposure.
Wow great shot, I would easily hang this on my wall.
i agree the OOF sticks grass were the first thing that distracted me.
going to have to learn about this baiting stuff, curious how you do this without disturbing the snow with footprints. Or how you know you are baiting an owl instead of a grizzly.... Lol
Stunning image Arash! love the eyes of the owl and the white snow in front of it. Texture on snow is so good.
Great Image. Love it!
+ 1 for Artie. As an enthusiast would love to know if the Images are output of Baiting / Natural Catch.
