More low angle wet & dirty fun along a local "beach" area. It has been a bit quiet at this normally more productive spot for shorebirds, but the ones that do show up sure make for fun and beautiful subjects.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/7.1, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, the two bold vertical stems extended to about bill height so I trimmed those down, and likewise to a few OOF grasses extending above the neck, usual eye work (darken pupil, lighten iris).

    Beautiful bird, light, setting... Wonderful!

I need to get a hazmat suit so I can start to think about crawling around on my belly in the mud. I have the old clothes, but the thought of getting back in the car is not a good one.
