Default One Angry Juvi ( Green Heron)

    Attached Images Attached Images

I spent a few hours at the spot where you can expect Green Herons and Black-crowned Night Herons this time of the year.
There were two juvies chasing each other, probably siblings. One came so close that I could have touched it.
They did not develop a sense of fear yet.
    This is full frame plus.
I added two inches horizontally to the original and as the very tip of the tail was clipped, I repaired it.
    Thanks for looking.

Beautiful exposure and excellent timing, I also like the composition. I keep looking at the upper mandible - yes I think I would apply a little more sharpening towards the tip.

Excellent image Karl! I like the expressive pose, details, perch, BG and composition. A couple of dust bunnies at the top over the head. Sounds like you are enjoying your time with the Herons.

Excellent work, Karl. Isn't it wonderful when young birds allow us to get closer than the adults do? I love the intense pose, you can really feel her energy. My favorite part is how the breast feathers are sticking out, and the feathers on the head are puffed up. I like your comp a lot, and good job on the tail.
