    Default Crimson Rosella

One of several rosella species here in Australia. This is primarily a wet forest specialist in the south-east.
    Thanks for looking, Greg.

Another great looking bird Greg. Really vibrant colours.

the perch takes up a substantial part of the frame and is a bit distracting because it contains so much detail but if that's the price of seeing this fine bird then I can live with that.

Exotic! The saturation in colors is really eye catching without being over the top. The perch is visually complex and almost as appealing as the bird itself, but of course it's not. That is one beautiful rosella. The flash work is excellent and is really only visible on the perch.

Incredible bird! I love the perch for the pieces of fresh fern coming out.

I wonder if it would be too much manipulation to take down the red in the perch a little, so it isn't so prominent against the green BG?

What a great bird to photograph. Love the bright colors.
I like everything about it...head position, great BG, great perch and I like how the little flowers on the left balance the image.
    IQ is excellent as always,
    Gail
