Hi Gail - Love colors and angle. I like the IQ and details visible on the feathers and legs. Nice catch-light in the eye, also like the HA. Not sure, but I would maybe prefer a small bit of extra room along the bottom edge.

    Gail:

Handsome bird, foot up pose, head angle, lovely colors, good shooting angle.

I do agree with Hennie, a tiny sliver more room below would be nice.

Makes we want to go back to Florida!

    Cheers

An image that makes me smile. Such fine plumage, light, head turn, and then that sandy foot adds just a touch of humor. Lots to engage the viewer here and I love it. Agree that a touch more on the bottom would not hurt and I'd tone down the shadow on the left, just so that the eye isn't at all tempted to look at it.

technically and visually stunning image. Perfect head turn, interest-adding raised foot, and I like the debris sprinkled along the beach.

This just rocks, Gail. The light is to die for. I'm glad you left quite a bit of the beach debris in there. I love the gentle fluttering of the feathers on the back, the foot raised, the head turn. This one has it all.

Critique.... Didnt you tell him to wash his foot before posing, ghee whiz.

no really not a thing II don't like, this bird to me is an eye catcher, only ever seen one at a Texas zoo.

With the nice head angle and raised foot the Spoonie was really cooperating with you on this one. I'd like so see its other foot, but hey, they sink in soft wet sand. This one has particularly nice colors and the light is great.

Excellent image Gail! I like the raised foot, colours, exposure, IQ and light. I agree with a little more room below.
