A fun shot from the private waterhole in Etosha (Namibia) I was fortunate to visit earlier this year...
    Can you spot the "crocs"?

That's just how we roll in Africa!

Rachel...that is TOO funny! Terrific image and TFS. Nice to see you out in the field doing what you love to do and do so well.

Could you ask for anything better? A whole herd of elephants in front of you and beautiful light!

Ok I admit I was really looking hard for the crocodiles, i love the species, and finally noticed your feet.... Haha

thats how I role too but discovered crocs get slippery on concrete, or Mississippi mud if you ever watch Gator Boys.

i like the five toe shoes now.

After 30 minutes I gave up.

I'm pretty good at spotting crocodilians but I'm no fashionista.
Thank goodness I went back and read Rachel's reply.

It was the quotation marks around crocs that gave it away for me.

    LOL good fun everyone.
FWIW - I also don't use crocs on wet rocks or tiles. Once fell at the mall with my boy in my arms. Bruised myself but protected him at least

...and FYI - when I said "that's how we roll" I wasn't referring to the shoes, but to being on foot close to elephants

Ha ha Morkel, I did a cmd+ on my Apple and put my glasses on to search for your crocs It's late and I am tired and I have just finished working on a Bateleur, masking the poor bird for about two hours, wing tip after wing tip-thought my eyes gave in! Well I had a laugh and I am still laughing, you made my evening, mate! Please keep that hat on, the sun is gonna get you! Great shot, really enjoyed this post and all the comments, have a great week-end, chat soon,

    xxGabriela
