    Going through my 2012 Costa Rica frames I came across this one. Its a 50 crop, maybe a bit more but I really like the detail I have been able to bring out in CC.

    Nice up close portrait with a lot of details but looks oversharpened.

    Richard,

    With this close of a portrait you can really see the detail! I do agree that you can get away with just a touch less sharpening.

    The whites on the belly look just a little bit blown out, an easy fix from the original I'm sure. Again, wonderful detail!

    Thanks for the critiques; a bit over zealous with sharpening was the general concensus.
    Reposting with whites adjusted, more detail evident there

    Richard.

    This is an interesting bird, and the degree of sharpening on the repost is better. But the repost is also quite a bit darker than the OP. My only wish is that the head had been turned a bit further toward you, to reveal more of the other eye.

    Thanks Norm, darker true , can lighten but youre right.
    I do have more of these and will see if I have any 2 eye versions.
    Pulled the curve a bit too far getting those white areas bak
