    HI Arash

I love the wing and head position and the nice clean background. Have you sharpened the head and eyes? To me the right side of the head and eyes look too sharp in comparison to the rest of the bird. This might just be me though, what do you think?

I think it is probably because I don't sharpen my own images enough. I am never sure how far to go with sharpening for web.
    Great image by the way.

    Absolutely stupendous.
Love the wing position and direct gaze. IQ is perfect.
The BG compliments the owl perfectly and the light is beautiful.
One of your best images this year!

If the RAW is sharp you do not need to sharpen your photos much, just use sharpening with a fine radius (0.5) on the final image after resizing.

Now that is awesome!! I commented about the far eye in one of your recent images of this species...but this more than makes up for it. I really like the bit of green in the BG too.

Hi Arash - stunning with perfect placement in frame and your usual spot on techs. The eye contact and wing position just take it over the top. Congrats!

Oh man, this is just heartstoppingly good, Arash! That awesome look at you! The beautiful curving line of the near wing! What a stupendous photo. I agree, one of your best this year. Makes me want to toss me camera in the nearest pond...

Your body of flight images of this species is certainly the best overall collection I've seen. The eye contact really holds the attention here. Awesome image in every way.

    Very impressive.
Capturing the owl in flight is achievement enough but to get that stare as well .. WOW!

The background works very well and has enough subtle variation to not be too bland.
    Composition works for me too.

Speechless, enter it in everything, or send it to me for Christmas.

not one hair out of place.

question.... The BG how did you achieve this? Mask?

trying to figure out BG processing, posted question in discussion forum, but this BG is my ideal.... Still see colors that are natural, but just smooth and well done.

    Thanks Linz.

smooth BG is a result of using long focal length and fast aperture.

    thanks Yogesh,

The owl does look at anyone and it surroundings, you just have to be fast enough to get it. I don't quite understand your last question, of course you take photos when bird is at eye level.

    thanks everyone for nice comments
