Image courtesy of Doug West while aboard the Hooptie Deux.

I wanted an image of me using my sun protection gear.
Skin cancer is a real concern for anyone who spends much time outdoors.

As soon as Doug used my Nikon D300 and 70-300 VR to capture this image, my concern turned to Doug wanting to throw his Canon gear overboard

I processed this on a laptop with absolutely no photoshop.

    David,
It is very cool. I am happy with it.

I will check on the supplier, it was the same place Jim Poor purchased his hat I think.

I'd appreciate it. That you can wear a normal baseball hat with it (and reverse it as needed) is appealing. I have an Outdoor Research hat with a "cape," but the bill gets in the way when it comes to photography. I've certainly bent the bill in my efforts to make it work (not unlike Artie and Robert Amoruso), but it's not the same...

Cool picture! I almost got one of those when I got my hat and shade. Got mine at Bass Pro.

    David,
The maker is Dr Shade, but I think they are part of / have been bought by Glacier Glove:

They have a cool "cape" add-on that will work with any hat too.

Would you buy a used car from a guy who answered the door like that?

Does this guy have an ego or what? By Sunday, he wanted me to call him Captain.

Hahaha...good one, Bahlf. Someone needs to post the pic of him with those zany yellowish-green goggles. James Shadle is by far one of the weirdest lookin' dudes out on the bay.

I didn't even know this kind of thing existed! At first I though "wow he's extreme" but after all you're right, some things cannot be taken lightly.
