Pink house

This old house is on the road to Plum Island. It was recently bought by the wildlife refuge and am sure it will shortly be torn down. It looks to be in better shape in this photo than in real life. :)

Taken as a 3 bracket hdr (photomatix), adjusted in PS and then I applied an oil paint filter from SnapArt.

Love it, great painting effect and nice colors. I just bought Snap Art today! I used it on a commissioned portrait of a dog in 2 versions and really like it. I got the whole bundle since I wanted the new Exposure 5, it is very awesome! I used it before Snap Art to get the look or "style" I wanted which looked great by itself before painting.

Greetings. I've looked at your image several times trying to figure out why it is so successful. I think the simple geometric design of the house, stacked boxes with interposed pyramids is well balanced by the natural vegetation. The beautiful color and painterly effect add to the contrast and the diagonal of the rooftop (subtly propelled by the brush strokes) strengthens the composition. Thanks for posting. Good Show!
