This is far and away the best KF photo I have ever seen......
Maybe a touch off the bottom, but that is just subjective.
Really nice soft light. I have never heard of attracting them with calls, were you in a blind?

What a pic, love it in every way, the iq is amazing, love the colours in the bg really set him off. I would have this as big as possible on my wall if one of my shots, Well done Alan
Well now this is just over the top! Everything just gelled together here....BG, perch, subject. Just a fantastic image!!
Really lovely shot Alan.
Excellent soft light, perch, BG & composition. TFS
Patience and getting to know the habits of your subject rewards you with an image like this one. Not much I can say about this other than it's one of the best Kingfisher images I've seen. Beautiful background, great detail and I love the perch.
hi Alan,
Excellent soft light, perch, BG & composition. TFS
10 out of 10!
Love the BG and how it compliments the KF.
Gail
A delight to view. Great bird, great light, great perch, great bg.
Alan,
Love the selection of the perch, especially the green in the branches. The bg compliments all of the colors in the fg perfectly. Well thought out!
And of course, the detail here is to die for. Not much more you can ask for!

What a complimentary background for this lovely lady! Your belted kingfisher images are the benchmarks by which all others are measured imo. Do you have your submerged kiddy pool with bait fish working on this one?
Gorgeous image of handsome bird on beautiful perch. Excellent colors, details, superb BG and composition.
Regards,
Satish.
Wow, what a perfectly chosen BG-- it is such a perfect match for the bird's colors. I can't stop looking at this.
This is the quintessential BEKI shot in all regards. The best shot I have ever seen of this species so far, Alan.
Awesome Allan. Love the bg and light on the bird.
