    I like the sense of curiousity that I get from the subject pose...leaning in, perfect head angle. Pretty bird on a neat perch. Compositionally, this feels slightly unbalanced to me. I played around with an 8x10 crop with space off the right and top, virtually centering the subject...I thought that looked and "felt" even nicer to my mind's eye.

    Good looking subject and your perch adds interest which could give a unique composition. I'd like to see a comp with less on top and more room on bottom. Also, your bird seems a little oversharpened to me.

    Nice looking bird. And perch. I actually like the comp, except that I wish the left hand branch weren't quite so crowded. Lyle's suggestion might be worth exploring, though.
