    Default Eastern Spinebill

One of our small honeyeater species here in southern Australia - these guys seemed to be everywhere! Many were gearing up for breeding - carrying nest material etc.
    Thanks for looking, Greg.

Really coo looking bird. I love the BG and the pose of the bird. I am debating the leaves....they add very nice environment may but a bit distracting. Either way, I think it works. See what others have to say.

    Hi Greg

Great image. I have never seen this species before.
I find the large leaf on the left a little distracting mainly because it is quite bright. Still a great image though.

Excellent image! I love the bird's pose (and the split toes at the twig wedge), the BG, the comp...and the leaves. The image is well focused but I feel just a tad more sharpening for web presentation to bring out the fine detail in the plumage could be worth it. Super image man!

Agree on just a bit more sharpening. Love the intensity of the bird's stare. Good work!

Hi Greg, love the IQ in this, and you have certainly captured an interesting pose, and that we can see a hint of the tongue. Nicely framed between the foliage, and what a sweet BG.

Gorgeous bird and perch. I love the bluish cast to some of the leaves which echoes the blue in the bird (sky reflection or actual color?). I'm on an iPhone while traveling and may not be seeing the colors accurately, though.

Easily recognizable as one of your images just by looking at the thumbnail, without checking whose it was....and you've got a great style! I like the complex perch with the worn leaves and the great subject placement.
