    Default Spotted Sandpiper.

    I stopped by the beach where a Solitary Sandpiper was reported from, but found a Spotted Sandpiper only.
    The light direction is always bad for us as we live on the North side of the Great Lakes and this time was not exception either.

    You did very well in challenging light here Karl - lovely shot with raised foot - a very attractive wader!

    Superb image. You have handled light very nicely. I like the pose with raised foot,nice details, colors scheme and composition.

    I like the raised foot, feather patterns and setting. I would take some off the top. Nice image Karl!

    Hi Karl, I like your low shooting angle, and you have captured good sharp detail on the sandpiper. Great that most of him is posed against the smoother BG, and well timed to get the raised foot.

    I like the walking pose, pebbled floor, and soft BG (did you tweak it any?). Good details and exposure. A better body and HA towards us would have better evenly lit the subject but I understand your light angle predicament for this spot....
