    Beautiful image. I like the head turn, eye contact excellent details and the colors of the bird.

    I agree with Karl. I also especially like the visible foot. It is neat seeing a less frequently posted subject. TFS.

    Awesome bird and a great view of its plumage. Neat perch, and good dark BG. I do find the flash a bit strong due to the dark shadow under the wing and tail, and some spots are over-sharpened IMO. Still an impressive image of a rarity for those parts...congrats!

    P.S. Too bad you do not have more canvas...were you able to back up and take some looser comps too?

    Unfortunately I was on a 30 degree slope and in the only opening in an extremely spiny brush covered area.
