    Default Rough Old Elephant

A week ago, I took a day trip to the Roger William's Park Zoo in Providence, RI. Lots of fun animals and lots of photos(I'm still working through the over 700 photos that I took). The main highlights were participating in a seal feeding, and the elephants, which incidentally are my favorite animal.

I processed this closeup of one of elephants using Silver Efex, then added two Shadowhouse textures, and finished off using Viveza to enhance the elephant's skin textures more.

    Christopher,

Greetings. I like the grizzled texture of this one. Wish the eye lashes were a bit more detailed. I always like how yellow/oranges bring out detail in essentially monochromatic images.

    Cheers,

Christopher, elephants are one of my favorite animals - I love their expressive eyes. I like the look that you achieved with the colors and texture. Nice pleasing composition.

Great texture on the elephant and the added layer. Very effective and I really like your framing Christopher.

Great composition, Christopher. The extra textures and warm tones make it really work for me.

Great job Christopher, this is a really nice image. You have strong compositional elements and a wonderful mix of graphic and organic looks. I love your placement of the eye!
