    Hi Clyde

I like the effect you have gone for here and think this is a great image.
If it were mine I would try and create a little more difference in tone on the rump or the background to try and separate them a little more.

Hi Clyde, I too like the simplicity of the image, however I think you could up the blacks a little more, WDYT?

Thanks Iain And Steve . Steve I made the adjustments as per your Pm . I have tried to NOT be too heavy handed, But not sure if I held back too much .

Hi Clyde, all I would do is just not apply the adjustments to the really dark parts of the chest & neck & under the beak, you want to avoid choking the shadow parts at all times, otherwise WDYT?

I think It looks Far better (Not as flat ) . I need to further train my eye to recognize "Choking" of the blacks . I'm starting to "See" the happy spot ,I think. Should I be looking for a certain spot in the histogram ? 245-250 ? 254? Or is this a "Trained eye " sort of thing ?

Clyde, I might also change your metering, it looks as if it's set to spot, try Evaluated?

I do use spot ,Because of a post I read on here . The thought pattern behind it was, "I want the subject exposed properly ,and will handle all the rest in post " I'm not naming names but she is well respected ,so I followed that line of thought . I will switch to Evaluated ,and go out in the morning and shoot some . Thanks yet again Steve !
