    Default Finnish Bear

A bear from my recent trip to finnish/russian border.

    Nikon 600 mm

Cropped a sliver at bottom, adjusted some levels and color temp, sharpen and a bit of noise reduction (Do you think it needs more noise reduction?).

Hi Gregor - I really like the way the bear is looking at the bird. Nice sharpness on the bear and I like the inclusion of habitat, I just wish the tree in the fg wasn't bisecting the bear. I would apply a bit more NR to the bg.

Hi Gregor, like the colours on this one and you have also achieved better clarity, detail & sharpness in the subject. But as Rachel pointed out, the tree is the FG is real killer for me which is a real shame, but nothing you could have done. NR, personally I think on this one it's 50/50, I just worry that BKG suddenly become so smooth that they start to look unreal, WDYT?

Hi and thanks for C &C.

I get your point of the tree in FG. Personally i´m not so bothered by the tree, I rather see it as a part of habitat and like it. But that is probably why I choose this picture, and not a cleaner one. Good to hear your point, and "see" more things. i will post some other pictures soon.

    Best regards Gregor

Nice scene here Gregor - would love to visit these hides one day. I still see some magenta in the fur of the bear and in the trees?
I don't mind the OOF tree.

Love the habitat. Can imagine the anticipation of scanning the woods for the appearance of some of the animals you've posted from this trip. Darkening the OOF tree minimizes its appearance somewhat for me.
