Sorry I haven't been too active of late, work has gotten in the way. I am back to transitional work with my ankle and it seems to be sapping a lot of energy out of me. Anyways, a tough theme with some creative entries. So my picks for the winners! 1. Scratched it Myself by Michael Gerald-Yamasaki. I loved the simplicity and the coloured details in the bird. Something quite folk-artish about it. I also liked the eye masked back in. Very clever method to bring out the "scratch" theme! Congrats Michael! 2. Sunflower by Gary Ellwein I liked the contrast between the dark petals and the light seeds, and the soft/sharp contrast too. A very pleasing composition and nice b and w conversion. 3. Shelby by Cindy Cone This one looks like a great pencil sketch. Great base image and handsome portrait of a great pal. Congratulations Cindy. Thanks to all who participated!
1st - Michael Gerald-Yamasaki, Scratched It Myself
2nd - Gary Ellwein, Sunflower
