This image of a Crowned Plover was taken in late morning in the Serengeti.

Almost full frame. Took a sliver of the top.

Removed a branch of grass in front of the bird.

Wish I had stop down to F8 or F11 for more DOF.

    Appreciate your comments.

    Thank you

    Hi

Well exposed and sharp on the head, agree stopping down would have given you the tail and back. Fine detail in head and crown.
Very tight on the lrhs and at base. Yoy might be able to add. Harsh light but well handled.

Hi Loi, a little tight in frame for me, plus as you had the SS then more DOF on this one.

The crop and dof have been addressed. The environmental colors go very well with this bird although the red legs clash with the earth tones.

Loi, I am fine with the DOF, light is very nice as the bird is. I only belive that is too close to the frame on right.

I'm OK with the dof here, and any more would had increased the distractions in the BG so this is a good compromise for me. I do find the subject tight in the frame though. Nice details in the face!

Beautiful image. I like the colors and sharpness. Rest is mentioned above.
