This is Oriole number 2. Same bird as I posted two day's ago, but a different pose. I would like you all to tell me how you like it and did I leave enough room for the bird. Thanks for your thoughts. Shooting info follows: Nikon D4 2013:08:26 19:165

I really like the sharpness, detail and pose of the bird. It's very well exposed. I agree the bg is a bit busy. As the bird is looking down, perhaps it could be cropped so that it's a little farther up and to the right. Perhaps combining that with a slightly looser crop would also be good.
The face is tack sharp, and I like the posture it has adopted as it perched onto the branch. A bit busy on the BG though, perhaps toning down the brighter leaves would help divert some attention back to the subject. Less above and more below would be good IMO. Did you need to lighten some shadows on the belly and under the tail? There is some noise there that hints that this may have been done...in any case some selective NR there would help.
P.S. Great colours, you perfectly nailed the orange hue of the oriole.
Love the pose and the colors. Tack sharp on the head. I might trim a slivver off the right. This illustrates a common dilemma when shooting birds in the forest: smaller aperture would have given you more DOF but made the BG even more distracting. I wish I had a solution. Toning down the brightness of the BG could help.
