Walking in the Montado today I suddenly was 4 m from this cool male, sun/through clouds, behind for a change.
Just nr, sharpened, frame is now 70% of original. Detail fine IMO, bit steep (forgot my ACME ladder lol

Hi Richard, colours spot on, on one of my favourite species that I see often in the nature reserve close to where I live. I agree with your self critique regarding the steep angle, and I feel the light looks a bit harsh. I feel toning down the whole image will help.

    Hi,

I feel that if the angle were a bit less steep and the bird were to be placed a bit farther to the right, everything else (color, focus, detail etc.) would be perfect.

Beautiful image. Very nice colors, sharpness, perch and composition.Noted steep angle. Agree with Stuart Sir ,about toning down the image.

Cool species, sharp and with good eye contact. A bit steep but not too much.
