this is one of the same series. I wanted to make the storm Obvious so I used a low shutterspeed, to make the moving grass blurry. Was really difficult with the wind. I took the shot from the car, with my wimberly mounted on the side of the car. I really like the way the leopard looks, and how he blends in to his environment. canon 5DIII , 500mm, iso 1000, f/4.5, 1/100
I like the swaying grass from the slow shutter, though I think the colour needs correcting and tonal range can be bumped up.
Took the liberty of a quick repost
Took the following steps:
1) Tried to tag a neutral colour with the dropper in LR
2) Curves adjustment to raise the mid tones
3) RGB colour adjustment, increased the blue channel
4) Took into PS added mid tone contrast
5) Levels adjustment with centre slider on lights subtracting mid lights
6) Darkened the dark dark mask through a doge/burn layer.
WDYT? Quality has suffered a little, but should be fine if starting from the RAW. Did you drop a gradient filter in too?

Ok, now this is getting closer to a storm looking atmosphere/feel. Bent grass does help show wind.
I prefer the original color (over RJ's), especially the sky color. In fact, I'd try darkening the original sky some to look a bit more menacing? (To also compliment the leopards menacing look). And would also crop some from bottom, the large rock(?) as much as can be.

Reason: added sentence
I would also like to see a shot pulled back some, so that the leopard looks smaller thus showing more "storm". But then again, might not like that?
Tom
To me the blacks look a bit blocky as does the sky - might be from the compression to JPEG - but I would back off on the blacks a little. I like the overall impression of the image but feel the leopard is lost a little. I completely see what you were trying to do though and I think you made the best of the situation but perhaps some extra suggestions from other for PP will take it up a bit more.
Carole, I like you OP better than the RP, the blue was too much for me.
But the leopard does seem to have a green tint to it in the grass. Possibly a mask with some selective color adjustment?
Hi guys, thank you all for your comments! I tried tweaking it a bit, and made a slightly different crop to give it more of a Stormy feeling. I think I succeeded in getting the green out of the leopard. I also darkened the sky a bit, so now to me it looks more like the actual sky was. what do you think? Carole
Both the original and your repost work well for me.
I prefer the darker, stormier sky to the brighter blue. Russell's repost made it look to bright and made the leopard look a bit too bright.
The leopard's stare and it's hunkered down pose are super.
