I did standard processing with a few enhancements and then used Moku Hanga and combined the two images and put it in a frame.

Very nicely imaged and framed. What is Moku Hanga? BTW, this would make a fabulous fractalis image in my opinion. Great starting material for something like this:

Thanks Don. Moku Hanga Japanese woodcut app is for Mac and PC from jixipix.com. They are standalone apps and are all $10 or less! They have the same series of apps for iOS which is where I first used them.

Thanks for the fract suggestion. I never seen to get results that I like with it so I rarely use it.

Judy: I hate to say it, but this image doesn't work for me. The frame, though interesting, does not seem to go with the dark image. The flowers are not defined enough. The bokeh is gorgeous!

Judy, I like the framing but feel like it should have something a little less bright and kind of aged in the frame. Maybe even desaturating the crepe myrtle a little? But I know you like bright colors so that probably wouldn't work for you

Anita and Cheryl, I agree with you. I knew the frame really didn't go with the image but I used it anyway because I liked it. Anita, the flower itself was a little out of focus and will never be as sharp as some of the buds and leaves. I also loved the bokeh. Maybe I'll try it again without the frame and see if I can make it look better.

It looks great to me! Tonalities look good, and if slightly OOF it is concealed by what seems to be a subtle painterly or simplified look. A texture overlay could be good on this one.

And I like the frame, but then I'm a frame junkie, and this is a new one to me. Never heard of Moku-Whatever. Going to check it out now.
