1DX 600 II + 2X III f/8 1/3200sec ISO 640. handheld. The AF speed of 1DX with MKII lenses and 2X III is mind blowing. The same thing was not possible as recent as last year!

Arash, this is amazing! Fantastic image quality, perfect wing pose and great background that fits the birds ecology/habitat preferences.

I've now fully read your AF guide. Invaluable. Fantastic stuff for both my 7D and 1DX.

Love it! and you say this was a tail wind?!! I won't even try!
Exposure is spot on and the ocean BG is very nice.
A quick question for you. What IS mode on your 600 mm do you use for flight shots?

A beauty, Arash. I like how the angle of the bird shows the open tail with that pretty pattern.

Hi Arash, I really like how the bird pops from the water BG, and I like the flight pose. Tack sharp where it counts. Well captured.

Love the shot. the blurry wings imply motion and speed. Nice and smooth blue background.

Awesome the only problem is you need good light. I look foreword to the future and see what future systems can do.

there is no problem Corey, the 1DX has no issue in low light (as low as you would possibly want to photograph in).

...Amazing...I am also enjoying your guide but I haven't have any chance to put in practice any of the information learned. Just killer image, light and pose. Way to go Arash!

Good looking BIF Arash, especially for 1200mm. Great looking techs, as usual and I like the BG. A little better banking wing position would have been nice but this still works very well. Nice one.
