These are one of the first migratory, forest-nesting neotrops in Ontario.
I like to get there early when the sun is under the forest canopy,
and look for a spot in the stream where the sun has found its way through the tall standing tree trunks.
You've got about 5 minutes per perch before the shadows consume it.

Nice light and good IQ.
I would clone out the bright white spots in the BG as well as the second catchlight in the eye.
I like your comp but could also see a version with a bit off the bottom,

Hi Tim, well positioned to have captured the bird against the darker BG, and just love the lichen on the rock perch. Another vote for blending in the spots in the BG.
