    Default Louisiana "hotsauce" Waterthrush

These are one of the first migratory, forest-nesting neotrops in Ontario.
I like to get there early when the sun is under the forest canopy,
and look for a spot in the stream where the sun has found its way through the tall standing tree trunks.
You've got about 5 minutes per perch before the shadows consume it.

    Tim,
    Outstanding photo of this species.
The black BG is very nice, cool rock perch, I might tone down the bright spots in the BG just a bit.

    Hi Tim,
Not too much salt I hope!!
This is a really lovely perch. Lovely perky pose and I like the visible feet.
    Nice light and good IQ.
I would clone out the bright white spots in the BG as well as the second catchlight in the eye.
I like your comp but could also see a version with a bit off the bottom,
    Gail

In addition to Gail's suggestions, I would take the whites in the bird down just a bit. Sweet bird, sweet image of him.

Hi Tim, well positioned to have captured the bird against the darker BG, and just love the lichen on the rock perch. Another vote for blending in the spots in the BG.
