    Default Hibiscus bud

I think TX hibiscus buds are cool looking. I had to add a lot of contrast to the original. I photographed it in misting rain. I did a lot to it and can't remember all but the main thing is I added 4 textures mostly all masked from the bud, then merged the layers and used Topaz Restyle. I loved the result! It glows! I only used it at about 60% or 70% opacity. I will post the original so you can see the big change.

Original image with just some sharpening added after my Lr adjustments. There was some pink or mauve color in spots in one of the textures but I masked that texture from the bud.

    Judy,

Greetings. Wow, that really pops! I really like the dance of curved shapes and the color contrast. My eye is drawn to a few circular dots (part of the texture) in the light green on the middle left just above the dark green.

    Great look. Good show!

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

A beautiful original capture, and fantastic processing. It isn't easy to blend several textures -- well done. They give the impression of mist swirling around the bud.

Judy, it really does glow! The base image was nice to start with and the textures and ReStyle really made this one shine

Judy, you hit this one out of the park. It always helps to start with an excellent image. The image does glow. It reminds me of an old world painting.

Beautiful result, Judy! I love the lighting and the combination of reds and greens. The textured BG is a nice touch too.

    Hi Judy.

While I like your innovative post, I also appreciate your original image. Both are beautiful.

A stunning image. The original is very good also, but the edited one glows, as you mentioned. Lovely detail and crispness. Beautiful colors and light. Excellent texture work. The only thing that might improve the image is doing something with the leaves; I find them slightly distracting. Excellent!

Wow! Very beautiful. Thanks for posting both images. I like them both, but do love the glow of the ReStyle. The textures work well, too.
