nice details, cool wing blur, good exposure.

It's bit too big and too centered in the frame. With multiple flash setup its best to use a nice colorful backdrop if you can and a nice flower to add more interest...

    Welcome to BPN Ted.
You will learn a lot here.
The bird is nice and sharp and the amount of wing blur is fine.
I think the crop is too tight and would loosen it up considerably.
You forgot to post your EXIF data which always helps me with critiques.
It looks like the hummer was partly in the shade from the waist down and I would encourage you to try to get even lighting for this kind of shot.

Thanks for the reply Arash. I have been photographing hummers since 2007. I will never use a flash. I have been photographing hummers too long the natural way to change. .

Thanks Gail for the comments. I have been photographing hummers since 2007. It is difficult at best to get even lighting on a frontal humming bird shot because there will be a DOF issue.

    Thanks again for the comments.

Hey Ted, nice to see you posting over here. Good looking shot of this hummer. Great pose and HA and I like the detail in the bird. I agree that loosening it up just a bit would look good. Well done and looking forward to more from you.
