Very nice scratch art effect, Cheryl. I love how we all seem to have our own unique ways of achieving this effect. Love the contrast between the feather details and the black BG. I might make a little crop from the bottom.

The pattern of the feather looks really cool in b & w! Good job with the scratch art look with the filters you used.

The feather nicely lends itself to the scratch art look. With my image above, I followed your lead in the selection of tools to get the scratch art look. Thanks for the help.

Beautiful work! Love the look and the details. I like that the feather is a bit fluffy at one end. I think I'd prefer a different placement of the feather in the frame, maybe with the stem part lower than the tip, and the tip bending upwards. Beautiful work, whether for this theme or just as a good image.

Thanks for this scratch art example, Cheryl. I've been away for BPB for a few years, but finally have some time for photography again. Looking forward to learning and fun here. I have never tried a scratch art, so will have to see what I can come up with.

That's a really good example Cheryl! It looks remarkably like a scratch art work. I love how this theme is playing out - so many creative ideas and methods!

Great b and w Cheryl, I really like the softer, wispy feathers. Lots of nice detail in the individual feathers.
