    Hi Rachel

What a cute fox :) I got to go there. Just a short flight away.

The fox is perfect, but the background draws my attention away a bit. I think it is a bit uneasy.

Hi Rachel. I love the pose with the little step in mid air. I like the detail in the fox and HA.. Personally I like the comp but I find my eye drawn to the blurred foreground. This an awesome shot of an animal many of us have not seen. TFS

super capture, but I wonder if a different crop removing the grass from the crack in the rocks to the rt of the picture might be less distracting to the eye

I actually love the BG as is, and of course the subject is oh-so cute in both looks and raised-paw posture. The bright FG rock does attract unwanted attention though and for this reason I would crop about half of its thickness out or if you like it at least darken it a bit.

Thanks Gregor, Carl, David and Daniel for the comments and suggestions. I don't mind the bg because it is the rocks in which the foxes den and was the environment in which we saw them. Here's an alternate crop though eliminating some of the bottom oof fg rock.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

Rachel, what a cuite. An animal I have never seen before. I like the RP as it removes the OOF rock. On my monitor, the whites on the left side look just a bit bright. Loi

Hi Rachel, love the angled pose with the raised foot, and you have captured the finer fur of the fox nicely. I do like the hint of moss/lichen across the frame, and your repost has worked out well.

Hi Rachel, classic setting and I am very pleased you managed to see these little guys. Nicely framed and I can see where you were going on the OP, but prefer the RP. I might 'double process' and darken the FG a bit more and add a little NR to the BKG. What was the EV, might have backed down a third based on the whites, perhaps a little mid tone? Just applied a Luminosity layer, I think you might be surprised, looks good and helps the whites too. Nice pose and the raise paw makes it.

    Keep them coming.

Well, I'm going to be the odd man out as I like the OP better and I also like the colors in the fore and background. Might do what Steve suggested and darken the foreground as many noticed it and the background looks a little noisy on my monitor. It's a great shot Rachel, good job.

Hi Rachel, I agree with Steve and Stan. I also like the OP better, maybe just darken the FG a bit and reduce noise on the BG. I don't mind the background because it's his natural environment. Would love to see one of those someday . Great picture. TFS Carole
