Love the colors! Nice work!
Diane,
Greetings. Love the design of this image, particularly the curved reflections on the right side... reminiscent of swirled paint. Not so wild about the black dots on the far right, also color noise appears there. Clean color takes out the noise in Topaz DeNoise (if you have the suite). Simplify would take out the dots though turn this a little cartoonish (which would work but at a different look).
Overall, very cool look. Thanks for posting.
Cheers,
-Michael-
Thanks, Judy and Michael! The building was covered with spots on this area, and the processing brought them (and some noise) out. And although I said it was clear, there was some clearing fog which the processing also brought out. In this case, I think it adds some interest to the sky in addition to the colors.
I decided to accept the spots and noise, but do like the suggestions to play with DeNoise and Simplify -- I do have the suite. I'll re-post if I get anything great.
I played with Simplify and like the heavier, more dramatic look -- thanks, Michael! (Couldn't get DeNoise or Neat Image to do much.) Also did a B/W which I'll post in a separate thread.
I really like this one Diane! I love the geometric shapes, the colors, and the tonal shading. I really like what the panels on the right did with the patterns on the other surface, very cool! I think the repost is a stronger image.

I love the colors--so many shades of blue--the patterns, the lines, the textures, the glow. The contrast between the straight lines on the left and the curvy lines on the right is especially nice. I like both versions, though after noticing the little black dots, I could not quit noticing them. The composition creates lots of tension, in part because there is more sky at the bottom than the top, which is contrary to the usual view. It works. Wonderful negative space. Excellent work.
Diane,
I like the repost. The color noise that I see can be removed with the clean color slider in Topaz DeNoise. I ran the repost with the only adjustment of clean color set at 40:
Granted it's subtle but the impact can be seen in the lower right corner. A little of the color noise is left but would be caught if this were run before Simplify.
It could also be just my eyes and not a worry. (sometimes one person's noise is another person's feature ;-)...
Looking at it again... it really is a particularly nice image. Good show!
Cheers,
-Michael-
Diane, I love this!! At first I didn't realize that the space in the middle were the sky but once I figured that out I liked it even more. I love the geometric shapes and the way they interact with the sky. I like both reposts and I'll be interested in how it looks in black and white also. Great image![]()

Thanks, everyone! And thanks. Michael, for the noise clarification -- I speed-read your post and missed that you were recommending Topaz. I had tried Nik's Dfine for the noise, without much success. Nor did Neat Image do anything. Will try the Topaz one -- often one will work when another one won't. I like the cleaned-up look. They need to do some serious metal polish on the building.
B/W forthcoming.
