I like this one, Richard. The bold, red eye is stunning. And the whimsical head-turn, engaging.

You may wish to consider reducing slightly the bright areas on the perch.

Very nice bird, head turn, red eye, sharpness. I feel the bird is a little crowded on the right and bottom. Loi

Very nice, especially the eye = very glossy and sharp, but lots of fine detail in the plumage showing as well, only thought woauld be to try to tone down some of the brighter areas on the perch

I'd prefer a bit looser crop and a better head turn, but I like the details and background. Some parts of the perch could indeed be toned down. Awesome bird, thanks for sharing it!

    Very sharp for 1/20 SS.

Lovely looking shot and great BG. Bit more head turn would have been perfect

One image where the thumbnail doesnt do any justice to, i looked at it as your image and i loved it glad i looked
the details are fantastic and great work at 1/20
the eye is special, i somehow like the head angle here as it brings out the eye better to me than at a normal pose , however its always a personal choice
    lovely image
