Hello all,

Firstly I’d like to say that this is a cracking site and resource. I’ve learned an awful lot from lurking and thought that I’d join in the fray in order to learn yet more and share a few photos, especially as the discussions are a step above the normal internet fare. I’m based in Norfolk, UK which many of you will know is one of the best areas in the country for birds, which is handy I guess. I won’t babble on too much for now, and will put some pics and feedback on as and when I can!

Just so that I don’t get off on the wrong foot, as a newbie do I post by default in ‘Eager to learn’ or jump into the ‘Avian’ section?

Hey there Michael, welcome to BPN!!

Looking forward to your participation. As for which category to post in, you can post in either one from the get-go, but Eager to Learn is an invaluable tool for those that are either not comfortable (or feel a bit intimidated) to go straight to Avian or need an extra gentle push to get to the next level, or just need to dip their toes to test the waters first. I recommend it. :-)

Hi Michael and welcome to BPN a super great community IMO. I also live in a great area of Florida for bird photography pretty much year round and love it. Looking forward to your input and I say if you are new to 'photography" then post in ETL for your best advantage but if you are experienced Avian is great too.
