This Ruddy Turnstone gave me one frame of this unique pose as he was trying to open this little clam

    Very nice Cheryl!
I like the unusual pose and the nice bubbly wavelet.
Good IQ and exposure and terrific low POV.
I would blend the one specular highlight to the left of bird that is very sharply delineated and is darker and bigger than the others.
I would also take a bit off the top but that is purely personal preference and not a critique,

I do rather like the pose on this one and especially with the capture at such a low angle, it shows the little clam nicely , very clever especially considering the fleeting moment....not much I would change

Awesome, Cheryl! I see you couldn't get any lower, and it's so neat to be able to view the Turnstone at his level as he gets low too. Nicely done. You did great capturing that moment of investigating the clam. Colors, IQ, and details are all terrific. Great work.

I absolutely love the shooting angle here! The timing for this moment is spot on as the bird is working on the clam. The bubbles in the wave add a very nice touch. I can't think of anything to change in this one at all...

Unusual pose but not for a turnstone! Very smart Cheryl. Low angle, level, colour, sharpness- it's all good. I love the composition and the room given to the subject.

After looking at thousands of avian images, it's not often that one grabs me for its uniqueness. This one did...just love the pose, Cheryl. Perfect low angle, great colors.

Impressive image for the sheer lovely composition, the design aspect is nice here.
The over all IQ is wonderful and the blue water sets up the turnstone nicely, lovely image over all

That is Awesome! Love the clean foreground (Artie approved) topped with the bubbles and the interesting position of such a beautiful subject in great light. I too would consider a little off the top but as Gail said purely personel preference.

Hi Cheryl, excellent low angle, and I really like the light in this - it shows up the colours so well. Yep, you certainly captured a pose we dont often see.
