Hi Chris, although you said you had bad luck with the light, you certainly made the best opportunity in this. Great show of the wingspread and fanned tail for the incoming landing, and the colours of the JB stand out nicely against a typical GC BG. I really like the head turn. Well captured.

    Hi Chris

I love the sharpness of the bird and the colour of the background.
I don't know if something has gone wrong with your upload but when I view it the bird seem to have two beaks side by side?

Wonderful pose and wingspread, Chris. Love those splayed primaries. Light looks a bit harsh but you did a very good job. Bird really pops against the warm background color.

Wonderful capture; the 300 +2.0 absolutely rocks! Looks like the sun was pretty hot at the time this was shot and you did a great job with capture and processing. The head turn away from the wing line is a bonus.
    Cheers, Jay

Nice looking shot. Like the pose you got and the techs and details looks great. The light looks a bit harsh but the exposure held up well against that beautiful BG. Well done.

Killer raptor and there is not much you can do about the harsh light. Love the BG colour and sharpness.

I'm Glad you could fix the beak.
This is a great image. I don't mind the light as it means all the detail is showing well on the bird.
