Another low angle early light image of a small peep. Always on the move, most of my favorite shore bird images feature walking poses and often with a foot raised right up.
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/6.3, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, darkened brightest white patch on side and also pupil (burn), lightened iris (dodge). Cropped for composition at about 80% FF.
Absolutely stunning shot. Great colors, wonderful image quality. I like the angle. The raised leg is fantastic.
Those little shorebirds always look a lot bigger than they really are in pictures - at least to me. I often think they are the size of an American Robin whereas in reality they are the size of a Great Tit.
These last few shore bird shots have been very nice Daniel. The low angle and the light are perfect. You must be getting pretty close as the feather detail is beautiful. Well done, again.
