Default Owlet in flight ( Little Owl )

    Attached Images Attached Images

It has only taken me three years to catch an Owlet in flight in my camera

This one is just a few weeks old and only started to venture out into the open a week ago. He still has a lot of avian skills to learn but he has the basic idea...

    Canon 1DX, 800mm f5.6, ISO1250,1/5000.

    C&C welcome.

Excellent detail in this flight shot. Maybe a little big in the frame.

Excellent timing and spot on focus. I like the details and the look as he tests his flight skills. Great background as well. All in all I'd say you made the most of this opportunity!

Lovely image , i love the position of those wings and great sharpness on the body and the eye
I like the blurred wings as they give me the sense of motion which i feel adds to this image, the beak has something eaten lately which is interesting.
if i may change a thing would like a small canvas in front of the bird IMO, otherwise a wonderfully executed image.

Quite sharp where it counts, and besides, I like the oof wingtips here. As mentioned, a bit tight in the frame, but all else looks great to me...your patience paid off!

Perfectly Sharp where important, I still think you were too close to the bird. Its a great take off image, Loved the Talons

I like the details in the bird as well. As Alan Said it, a little big in the frame for me too esp with that clean BG.

Extraordinary fine detail in particular in the furry legs...seems long time perseverance has paid off in a big way...a real stunner...for me I'd suggest a bit more canvas on the left

Love the wing position with blurred tips, great details where it needed, beautiful eyes and very nice BG.

Now you are just rubbing salt into the wound Austin, very well done, these are like a speeding bullets! Did you try face recognition on this as I mentioned, or just selected FP's? Surprised yours have not fledged yet, mine have, just tracking them down, taking time though.

    Nice one matey.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Much appreciated.

I have a touch more canvas to play with so can loosen up the crop a little.

    Thanks again.

Hi Steve, No face recognition on this one. Just selected focus points and a good dose of luck...

Hope all is well with you and I hope you find your fledged Little Owls soon. Cheers

    Austin

Found one thank you, the other two are around somewhere, not sure Mum & Dad have gone? Will be getting a box from Vince later in October for them.
