Shot this wide open for a soft feel. Focused on the edge of the flower. Fuji S5 Pro, Sigma 180 macro, F3.5.

I really like the softness in this image, a great different take on this blossom.

This is very nice but I'm wondering if I'd like the orientation even more if it were horizontal?

The curved edges look great Mike. Super use of limited DOF.

Other than add a little space on the right I wouldnt change a thing.

Hi Mike, This is very appealing - the shallow DOF effectively places the emphasis on the curved edges running along the diagonal. Agree that a little more space on right would help composition.

I like it, Mike. Very dreamy and ethereal. I tried some similar images last weekend but pushed it to f/1.8 and it seemed too blurred. Also my whites were blown a bit. This image looks perfect, Mike. Great job.
