Another shot of a LBR. When I first looked at the shot in BreezeBrowser, the BG was a dull grey color, so I just ignored it. By adjusting the WB, now the Bg is a little better. Love the sharpness and details of the head and the profile view.

Wow, what a closeup!! Was it about to jump into your car? :D

Lots of details on head beak and chest and nice BG

Only comment would be that it would have been an option to drop SS and increase aperture for increased DOF so tail and back foot were in focus

excellent colors & details on this one. agree with Shane on the DOF.
would prefer some space at the bottom & a bit taken off the top if you have that option.

I like the feathering of the feathers on the throat and breast. Beautiful BG that you've nicely brought out in post. I'm not worried about the dof...but I do think the subject is large and low in the frame.

    Loi:

Very nice IQ on bird, with excellent details. Slightly dark on my monitor, but nice colors.

Just a hint of noise creeping into areas of the bg.

Even if you have no more space below, cropping from top a bit would make it appear to be a bit higher in the frame.

    Cheers

Thank you everyone for your comments. Much appreciated.

Sadly I don't have more room at the bottom, so crop some more of the top and side to maintain the same 2:3 ratio.

Brightened the image a little bit via Levels by adjusting the White.

A little more DOF would have been nice, but I didn't have it. Should have realized when I was that close, I need to close down the lens more!

Repost is better, although now I think it needs a little more room on the left

It's sharp where it needs to be -- very detailed. The shallow DOF works here to accentuate the front of the bird, very artistic with lovely colors.

Nice Detail Lori. I too am ok with the DOF, As said before it's sharp were it needs to be. I would smooth the area to the left of the perch, looks like a twig or something is starting to come into focus.

Hi Loi, colours look spot on, and what a great eye. Your repost has sorted out the comp.
