Hi Gus - Love the background, head angle of the birds looks good as well.
Birds look a little too dark to me, if it was me I would have been adding some light to try and get a bit more detail in the birds. (I dont use flash currently)
Hi Gus I like the composition with the tree and the two birds Ideally they would be looking the other way The overall image is very dark particularly the birds. Cormorants need just about perfect light and exposure to look good !!!
btw that tree you can shoot the reflection only at times when there is no wind !!!
I took a heap of shots of a commorant on the way to work this morning - hopefully will have something to post when I get a chance to process them, had to work hard to try and get a background that was not to busy, Hopefully it will not be too bad.
looks a little dark to me, too. there also seems to be a bluish color cast over the birds and tree. did you color balance it or is it just me and my monitor? i like the compo.
