This tiger looks mature and strong but the colours are a little too vivid though for my liking. I'd suggest toning them down. Were you able to shoot from a lower angle at all?

Indeed a nice specimen. Image looks well exposed with good detail, a little over saturated more so on the tiger itself but colours in the bg and fg look good. The angle doesnt bug me too much as i like the water in the bg. Its unfortunate the tigers eyes are closed, did you happen to get an image with them open?

Looks a little like you've overdone the saturation, or the vibrance perhaps. I don't mind the tiger so much as the purple and blue line under his shadow area. A very quick round of HSL in LR can fix that and then all your photo skill at capturing a sharp, clean image shines through. I wonder if you might blur the background slightly to reduce the effect of the ripples on the water...but that might not be OK with you? Would love to see these guys in the flesh one day.

I have been to Tadoba and if this is the same lake I was taken to, then you must have been in one of the front vehicles to have such a nice clear view. I know the guards are very strict on people not getting out of the vehicles, or even leaning over too far! And yet I have seen the guards standing casually on the road! Beautiful detail on the tiger and a nice lifted paw.

I think the repost looks better.
Great tiger shot. Like the composition and the walking pose. Hopefully I will be in India in a few month photographing tigers, too.

What a brute! Edward has sorted out much of the colour issues I was having with the original post.
Do you have any where the eyes are more clearly visible?

Great capture Ritesh, and you really left us wanting more images of this beautiful specimen...the RP does it justice and all techs have been covered above. Sorry to nag, but I would really, really like to see this fellow's eyes-have you more shots of him?

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

If I may take the liberty of answering that- This particular male made me buy a 4x4 vehicle when he was a young cub and was still with his mom. 7 charges in 7 days! no bluffs or mocks, true charges. Made me take off each time. Before that I would ride on a motorcycle for my work in Tadoba. I can never forget him (Or any other tiger that I ever worked with).

He has put on a lot of bulk (Successful Hunter like his mom who raised 3 cubs to adulthood, many times aided by his sisters who shared their kills with him )and the sheer weight of his skin over his cheeks and throat make his eyes look smaller and very difficult to be seen clearly. I think he has had a couple of injuries as well to his eyebrows and surrounding areas. You would be very lucky to see his eyes completely / with their natural size.

Ritesh is right, He is certainly one of the largest males you could see in the wild. He is HUGE! Ritesh please post it if you got a good eye contact with this guy.
